Dr. Kevin Tozer is a corneal refractive surgeon whose practice includes corneal, refractive, minimally invasive glaucoma, collagen cross-linking, and cataract surgery.

Dr. Kevin Tozer received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering, with a minor in Cinema-Television, from the University of Southern California - Viterbi School of Engineering. While there, he graduated Cum Laude and received a prestigious four-year full tuition scholarship. He was awarded several research grants and received the Renaissance Scholar Distinction award, which was given to select graduating seniors demonstrating excellence in two diverse academic fields.

He went on to pursue his medical degree from the USC Keck School of Medicine. In addition to his studies, Dr. Tozer participated in extensive medical research, including a year-long fellowship through the Dean's Scholars Program and the Research to Blindness Foundation. He was also awarded several grants to support his research endeavors.

Following medical school, Dr. Tozer completed his internship at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan - Kellogg Eye Center. Following residency, he attended the highly competitive Lindstrom Fellowship at the Minnesota Eye Consultants. His fellowship training included cornea, glaucoma, refractive, and advanced anterior segment surgery. Additionally, Dr. Tozer is among the first in Phoenix to offer corneal crosslinking to his patients. This exciting technology treats a number of potentially debilitating corneal diseases while avoiding surgical transplantation.

Throughout his medical training Dr. Tozer has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, authored 6 book chapters, and served as a reviewer for multiple ophthalmic journals. His research interests include utilizing his engineering background for innovation and novel medical devices.

Since joining Tozer Lee Eye Center in 2017, Dr. Tozer has been certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Tozer is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the Phoenix Ophthalmologic Society, American Medical Association and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Furthermore, Dr. Kevin Tozer is among the youngest surgeons to be voted Top Doc by Phoenix Magazine, achieving this distinction in 2019 and 2020.

In his spare time, Dr. Tozer enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children. He also enjoys running, golf, basketball, and is an avid football fan.
